My Week at a glance.... (It's just the begining)

I'm a RETARD of a DOOFUS!!! (Okay not like that is really a correct term or anything but I just like making up funny ridiculous names to call myself, or others closely related or on nearly BFF status)

I revamped my other blog,  and gave it a new look. So swing by and have a peak if you'd like.  The other look was great for Winter Time, but I needed something different for SPRING and maybe into Summer.  So I had fun creating it.

So why am I "whining" or "complaining" ?   Well,   I'm glad you asked.

I don't have much time during the day, with two little rascals keeping me busy here at home, or out and about trying to stay sane, and regular household duties that need attention, it's really hard to find time to "REVAMP" much of anything in blogland.   So the only way I can do it, is by sacrificing some sleep.  Now that I've played around with it, I'm liking it a lot.

This week at a glance:

Monday Night our family holds Family Home Evening. (Not sure if that link will work or not) But basically it's a time set aside for families to spend time together, and learning more about the gospel.  Our family looks forward to this every week.  It's one of the highlights of our week.

Annual PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)  breakfast for Committee Chairs ( Remember?  I did the YEARBOOK!!)  So I get to go first thing in the morning on Tuesday and partake of the goodness the PTO is providing, (and they don't usually skimp)

Later that same night, if I am able to make it, will be the Recipe Group Exchange/Sampling.  This month the theme is sides.  (What??)  I don't usually deal with sides unless it's a huge get together somewhere, or Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas... get the point.  I'm lousy at fixing dinners with "all the courses".  A side to me happens to be a jar of bottled pears or peaches that I personally canned, or some kind of fruit.  So maybe I should go, and get some better ideas.  What do ya think?  Anyone else out there have good side dish recipes??  Please pass them my way.

Wednesday -- probably going out to visit some friends in my neighborhood with a program we call visiting teaching.  (If you are curious, and don't know what it is please just ask and I'd be happy to tell you) Hopefully Chris and I can make it out to play racquetball again.

Thursday  -- My visiting teachers will come over to my house around 10am, and then I'll take the boys to playgroup which is taking place at McDonald's play land at 1pm, and then I'll head to the Temple most likely later that evening when Chris is home from work.

Friday -- (I'm Thinking.....)   (I'm Thinking....)   Can't think of anything, or if there is something I completely forgot about it.      ---- wait, I think I remember... The Women's Expo. YES that's it, I'll go hang out around there sometime this weekend, not sure yet when.

Saturday -- Something was going on this day, but I can't quite put my finger on it.  (my birthday April 24)
I can't believe another year has gone by, my goodness. I swear the internal clocks completely speed up as you age. Which is ironic, because you move slower the older you get so you think time would SLOW down, but no, it just keeps on,  getting FASTER, and leaves little time to catch up before you are running behind again.

Speaking of which, I better get my behind to bed. (It's late here) And I'm not telling you how late, but it's later than I wanted it to be.

When eating a chocolate chip cookie..... Think of me.

Can't go to wrong with chocolate chip cookies!! Especially, when you wake up to the livingroom being completely cleaned, and the boys room has stayed cleaned since FRIDAY.

Call me lame, but this is like a HUGE deal for me.  I used to keep my place spotless.  I had no problem having my dwelling stay neat. But add a few toddlers into the mix, that like to "pull" things from every location possible, and well within a huge time span of about 5 minutes or less, you have a huge mess on your hands.  And the endless efforts of going right behind them, and repicking everything up that you just put away is almost redundant. (HECK, I think it actually is.)

So I added a few more kids to the mix, and before they were to an age to really be of any great amount of help, I kept trying to be SUPER MOM.  But, my energy and efforts seemed almost in vain, to no avail.  So I guess you can say I almost kind of "GAVE UP" on trying to be SUPER MOM. The effort it took to be so, and the amount of energy to be one required way more than I seemed willing to give anymore, at that time.

I now have kids that are older, and all five kids help with the dishes (at least when I'm on my game) and now that I have the boy's bedroom cleaned up, it's been easy to stay on top of them tidying up the room every afternoon and evening.  And the livingroom is getting tidied up in the evening as well.

I'm not supermom, but I'm starting to realize that it really is just outside my grasp. With a little more practice, I'm sure I'll be up to par again.  I have a huge issue called LAUNDRY.  But I have been getting rid of extra clothing, and donating to second hand stores.  And the more I give to them, the LESS I have to deal with.

And when it's a Monday, and the kids have gone back to school after a week long spring break with no where to go, it was fun to be in the semi clean house, and feel somewhat at peace today.  And trying to get the kids going on homework, while also letting them have time to be kids while the daylight is out and get dinner on the table before bedtime,  can be almost a hard thing to juggle and balance.

So I applaud those women who have it together.  And for each of them "IT" seems to be always different.

I have my friend Christina who seems to be a great example of a Mother.  She's expecting her 8th child, has a set of twins, and five of her 7 kids are in school.  And she always seems to have activities going on for them, and places they go for family trips and such, and it probably helps that she has a great husband helping her with a great job too.  She is organized, and has goals, and ideals of what she wants her kids to be like as adults.  She is patient and loving, and really loves being with her kids.  There is a lot that I learn from her.  And she is also a budding photographer as well.

I also have my friend Kanani who isn't a blogger, but she lives in my neighborhood, and she has 6 children, and never seems to "lose" her mind at all.  She's very thoughtful and caring of her family, and she also tries to help her friends and check on them as well.  She has lots of ideas on how to serve other people, and just because she has a baby, she doesn't let that slow her down.  She exercises, and takes her kids to places for soccer and such, and fullfills her role as a woman very well.

Then there is Elisha.  She has three beautiful little girls.  I can totally relate to that part, since my first three were little girls, now they have grown up to be bigger girls.  But with Elisha, she enjoys the simple moments in her life.  She gets involved with the activities her children do.  She takes pictures of them, and has all sorts of creative talents.  She isn't afraid to try new things, and always goes on limb to help another out.  She's great at serving her little family, and showing how much others mean to her.  She never has anything negative to say about anyone.  She's always finding good things to say!! She also has a knack for wearing "grungy" clothes and making them look good.

There is also Jennifer who is a neighbor, that I just adore!! We're both the mothers of five children, and have similar stories to share and feel relieved in the fact that we have someone else who understands where we are at, and have been and are headed.  She's not perfect, and neither am I, but she's headed in the right direction. She knows what her family lacks in and tries her best to get them what is needed, (speaking spiritually here) and she is amazing with what she has done over the last several years, with loosing weight and totally keeping it off.  She's determined, and consistent.  Traits I wish I were better at.  She has a system down with her kids for cleaning up, and putting things away...and I learn so much from her.

There is Stephanie, who is just starting her journey in motherhood as of three years ago, and already expecting number 3 in a few more weeks (May I think).  She's doing her best already to be SUPER MOM, trying to feed her kids healthy food, developing talents, going with her ideas, a good friend, and super great at living a good life.  She has so many great talents, and aspires to become better at them, and learn more as she goes.  She is great with her kids, and although I see her stuggle sometimes, I know what she's going through, since I've already been there,   but she seems to deal with it better.

These are just a few of the friends I have that I've learned a lot from recently, and I could go on and maybe some other time I will.  They aren't famous people, but they take their roles as women, wifes and mothers to heart and do their best.  Someday I hope to take all the things from these ladies and be just as great as they are.

So after having a simple little lesson on families tonight for FHE (which stands for Family Home Evening) I started thinking about examples in my life, that I wanted to be more like. Thanks for your examples!! It means a lot to me.

So I think I'm at a starting point now, and will continue in this direction, but in the meantime, I'll go eat a few cookies and continue to read the second Fablehaven book.  (That is a good series by the way)

** If you weren't mentioned, don't take it personally.  This post is already half the length of a novel.  Because there are several of you out there that I know, love and respect for how you handle your roles.  So give yourselves a pat on the back, and the next time you eat or see a chocolate chip cookie.... know I'm thinking of you.   I MEAN IT!!!

Taking the higher road.... a lesson learned.

Do you ever have occasion to meet the
Teacher people, that for some reason
or another just seem to "ERK" you just so?

Well, I was having one of those times,
over the course of the last several weeks.
The teacher is that of a Musical nature,
but also teaches Saxon math to a group of
students.

I was so close, and I'm not kidding,
to writing a NASTY letter to the administration
saying how this teacher isn't doing her job, and
seriously is "failing" my daughter in her educational
pursuit of acquiring such skills in a mathematical
nature that will enable her to get to college,
and upon graduation will probably not use a lick
of ....

Oh wait, let me get back on track, as I was saying
my child was frustrated with having to do homework for
this particular class, and would even start screaming
at the top of her lungs that she didn't want to do it.
And then commence into tears, and all out crying because
she claims it is too hard. So to try and be a "Good" mom,
I just tried to encourage, but seriously she wouldn't budge.

So that was that!
No homework tonight, turned into
27
or so
MISSING
assignments.
(there goes my Mother of the year award)
YIKES!!!
WHAT??!!

So since this week just happens to be Parent Teacher Conferences
which really are just a time for Parent and Child to go to the
school to "TALK" about what could have taken place at home.
I've only gone through one conference so far, and I had like
ZIPPO interaction from the teacher, except for him to tell me,
that that student is at an 8th grade reading level. AWESOME!!!

But seriously, after that conference I walked to the
other end of the school to see if I could talk with
that TEACHER whom I was getting
frustrated with almost everyday.

She happily let me talk with her RIGHT then, about the
situation, and let me ask some questions, that might
have been borderline offensive if she wasn't the
great teacher, that I came
to find out, she actually is.  I seriously wondered
what they spent all their time in class doing?  So I
was bold and just asked her, so she walked me through
a random lesson plan on her laptop, and I was
having a complete change of heart for this TEACHER.

She made sure to tell me that she loved my child. And
thought that she was an absolute joy to have in class.
And asked me to pass on that my child is doing absolutely
great for where she is at!!!

So I feel reassured in my daughters educational
pursuits once again. And am now out to figure
out how we can qualify to "accomodate" her. She
isn't the fastest child in the class on her math facts,
but what she does get answered, is very accurate!!

Another fact to know, this daughter is like the YOUNGEST
in her grade, and the class is combined 2nd and 3rd graders.
She has started feeling like she isn't as good as the others
and this I believe is the reason why she isn't wanting to
do the homework anymore.

She is a fairly normal child, but the problem
actually comes from having to answer so many
fact problems (mulitiplication, subtraction, addition)
in a given set of time, and after that time is up,
you count how many are right.  And that is the score.
So if you have 100 problems and you only answer 60 of
them, and you miss one, that would equal 59/100

See where I'm going?
All the problems she answered were correct, but because
she isn't FAST, she gets penalized.  And this is making
her feel like she isn't any good.  (I want to cry for her now)

So after talking with the teacher we feel it best to
find a way to accommodate  her and her "special" need.
That way she can feel good about herself.

I'm glad I decided to approach this situation head on,
instead of taking the cowardly approach through
a letter.  I feel better, the teacher feels better, now
if we can get my child's grade better....

Everyone will be happy.

Emotional Connectedness, we all need it.

Okay so I'm posting a few times today, and I realize now that I should have changed the title of the last post....but alas, it is not to be.  I want that to be found pretty easily, and so I'm sticking to it.

But on to the real business of the day.

I've been feeling a little weirded out lately.  Not sure exactly what I mean.  But whatever it is, I'm starting to like the changes going on within.  Call me lame, but I'm really someone who needs some emotional connections either with people (and who cares if they are in movies or real life, because I don't always get time with real life women) or with a book (You know I really like a good book, but lets face it your def. and mine are probably different. I haven't read a lot of the "classics" and sometimes when I go to the book group I'm a part of, I feel kind of "dumb" for not having read them way back when, but to tell you the truth one look at the first few pages ...well I don't want to spend my time reading somthing that will "BORE" me.  If it isn't required, I'm not doing. Ha!! )

So just recently we switched to Direct TV and now we're getting "A LOT" more tv channels than we used to.  But at the same time, I find myself more motivated to "CLEAN UP" around the house during the day.  I find it kind of like a game.  Yeah, I'm not perfect but I do what works for me.  (Since I'm not rich enough to have a maid, or live close enough to have my mom or grandma have at my house, I have to settle for what I can barely manage to get out)

So with these new channels that I didn't get before, I'm finding movies on galore.  (I'm a real nut for LMN unless the movie is just too whacked out weird)  But I like watching the based on a true story movies, and I'll find the perfect time to fold all the laundry while watching the segment until commercials, and then I run and switch loads if needed, or I wash another rack full of dishes or whatever, until it comes on again.

It's weird, and almost like I feel as if there is something more to my "stay at home" mom life than there used to be.  I think I'm watching way more than I used to, but I also feel like more is getting done. And then the messes are remade just as fast.  But who cares, when I have commercials to work with.  It's a game, a sort of competition for me, and gives me an adrenaline rush almost.  (That would be a HUGE ALMOST!!! )

Of course, not much can be said for the days when I have grocery shopping and bills to pay.  I'm busy all morning taking care of those tasks, and like clockwork the MESS and JUNK have found thier homes again in all the corners of the room, under the edges of the cabinets in the kitchen under the piano bench, the desk, under the kitchen table....ugh... I swear the mess is like multiplying like rabbits.   I'm not quite sure how to slow it down.

But no worries here, I'm learning new things, and am trying new ideas to help me conquer the "clutter" in my life, and to get my kids involved in the process without going completely insane.

And this little place I call mine, helps me vent out the frustration.  My husband gets a little perturbed that the place ALWAYS looks bad, but at the same time, I know my kids aren't going to be little forever, so I want to enjoy my time with them, and teach them when the moments come.

So I know I'm like the only one in the "world" who can't keep her home spotless,  and all of you out there are such SUPER MOM's that you have your acts together all the time,  and kudos to you, but please don't judge this mama because I'm still a work in progress.  :)

You would CRY too if it happened to YOU!!!

Okay seriously,

Can it get any worse? Well, shh but I think it can but we won't go there right now!

Mind you the word sickness and things associated are described in this post. Read at your own risk!! But pick up reading again after the other set of stars, that part isn't bad.

****************************************************
I've been dealing with sickness in my home for about 2 weeks almost. Everything from Strep to a flu, and random "spewing from the head", to the lingering cough, to headaches, to mommy not getting enough sleep so she wakes up with a killer headache in the morning, and is starting off on a bad note. Sucks to be my family. Oh wait!! Sucks to be me, because I don't like to be this way, sometimes it just happens and the natural tendency is to be "Loud and Mean".

My oldest daughter was feeling fine today, sent her and the second daughter to school today, because they were both feeling fine over the last few days, and now I feel like a "Stupid" mom. The second daughter came home and started acting "sick" again. AGHH!!!! And I just had her at school around all those other kids... ohhhh what is a Mom to do these days!!!/???

She was also running a low grade fever after dinner tonight. BLAH!!!

So I head out for a little much needed break tonight and visited with some women in the ward, while discussing life scenarios, and the possible sewing projects that we'll work on in the near future. It was a great break!!! Thanks Ladies. BUT....

When I got home, little lady, my youngest, had randomly thrown up. Although, I kept her home from school today because she wasn't feeling good this morning. And I had a mess to clean up in the bathroom because apparently she doesn't have great aim. All I have to say is my shower curtain is coming down tomorrow and going straight to the washing machine in HOT water. She's the second one to tag it in a two day period. AGHH!!! (I hate cleaning up BARF!! -- the worst thing besides the smell, and nastiness of it.... I don't even get a bonus for cleaning it up, and I'm fighting off the gag reflex while I do so)

Then when I asked after reading scriptures tonight to have everyone get to bed, my oldest daughter randomly threw up... and she's like 10 and half and completely got it all over the floor in the bathroom area (half of it was carpet, and half was a linoleum type of floor. ** No problemo there, she volunteered to clean up the mess if I showed her what to use. Hallelujah!!

A little while later like within 20 minutes or less she came running back towards the bathroom, and aimed straight for the sink. EW!!!! GROSS!!!! (we left the lights off!!) I immediately started burning a candle because well, I like smelling pretty things like candles!! (* She didn't clean up that mess :( )

I HAD TO!!! BLAH!! BLEEP!!! UGHHH~ !!! HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!

So after an excruciating time of cleaning out our only bathroom sink, and using like a whole container of sanitizing wipes, I finally got it cleaned. YES, it was that BAD!! Or worse!!

Aren't you glad I'm not posting pictures. Lol.
***************************************************
BEGIN READING AGAIN HERE:

And after dealing with sickness and whining children, and those that don't feel well, and the constant coughing, and the waking during the night, and the keeping them home from school and worrying what the school will say.... I'm getting to a breaking point of wanting to CRY!!!

CRY!!! Sometimes, it is the one single action that can make everything bad seem a little better. I always need a good cry now and then. My husband is okay with as long as I'm not doing it around him. *Which stinks because then no one is around to listen to me, and give me the hug I need and want or the listening ear, or the encouraging phrases to help me get over this bout of Sadness that I happen to be in. I guess it's just one of those emotional traps of being a woman sometimes.

I'm trying to stay upbeat about all this, but sometimes just the weight of the world and other circumstances that we have to deal with on top of everyone being sick (EXCEPT MOM, by the way I'm knocking on wood and crossing my fingers) it sometimes seems to be a bit much for me to handle without getting a little down in the dumps about it.

Oh I know I'm not the only one that this happens to, but at least I'm documenting this moment, because I know in my future that one of my children will read it when they are in a time of need, and it will mean something to them and help them. Yes, I've been praying, reading scriptures and doing all the things I should, but I've reached the limit I think I can handle.

For this reason I sometimes wish my family lived close by so I could go and chat with them, and they won't "push" me away. Because sometimes, even though, I have a lot of children and other people around me, I often feel all alone. And I hate that every time, I pray for a friend to come around for me to really connect with, it always is short term. But at least the friendship will go on. (You know who you are -- there are a few of you).

And the more that I get this out of my system the more I feel I can handle the next day. Because I've made more room to take on the situations that come. Oh my patience, is wearing thin, and the sleep, well I could use more.

This is just one of those "many" times, that is causing me to become slightly frustrated. And a symbol to those who ask me how I do it... well the simple truth is I don't!!! I have bad days, and a lot of them in between the few good ones that come along. And I find this very therapeutic.

Oink, Oink said the daddy...

Seriously nothing can make a woman go more crazy then dealing with sickies all weekend long and then discover that Monday morning the love of her life decides that he doesn't want to go to work and calls in sick. So he decided to do a few things on his day off that he's been wanting to get around to for quite a while but because of having to go to work, he can't accomplish. Still had the boys here for the day, and them up to their wild rambunctious-ness in between Little Man's fever spiking. Not sure if it's strep yet, so I'm just going to watch him for a day or so.

And T-man was one of the confirmed cases of strep as of Friday night, and then on top of that he decided he was a really tough guy and took on the flu head to head. Or so I'm supposing. He kept claiming that he was not able to move, and needed help just to sit up, and he laid on our living room floor all day and then didn't want to even take a break from it, and did the same thing all night. The little creature got quite demanding on his sick floor bed, and said how I needed to clean this or that up, and that the girls couldn't play outside, and they needed to come in. And every time he said he was hungry and asked for something, I brought it into him, and he hardly touched it. Because remember, he was still being tough. And tough he was. Until Monday morning came around and he all the sudden sprang up and got up and ran around the house. Guess he was done playing tough guy. Sent the girls to school, but now realize I should have just kept them home. But they did seem fine this morning, and call me a bad mommy if you want but I didn't even enforce the doing of the daily ritual that some schools deem a necessary evil. (aka homework). I sent everyone to bed EARLY like at 7:30pm because so many were complaining of aches and pains, and sore throats and all sorts of ailments. They even acted tired, and I think this is the first time in months that they have all fallen asleep ... did you hear me... I said ASLEEP before 9:30 at night.

Kind of a breather for me except when I said, the love of some woman's life called in sick to work today? Well, it is true, and he is the love of my life. It wasn't a pleasant day off, by any means. After a trip to the doctor's office, we now have a 99% sure diagnosis of him having the swine flu. He has major body aches, and a cough that is annoying, going back and forth from chills to sweats, and ibuprofen isn't attacking the fever at all. In fact, we took his temperature around 8:45 this morning and it was 101.3 and about 10:30 we had it checked again and it had climbed to 103. So now the love of my life is taking on the roll of being the tough guy. He did, however, get to lay at home on a weekday and watch TV as much or as little as he wanted to.

You know what bugs me the most?? That I know eventually, I'll get sick as a dog, and no one will be home to help nurse me through it. The girls would have to be at school, and I'd still have boys here that I have to take care of, and Chris would be off at work, and I'd still be at home trying to do it all still.

I know a bit of a selfish thought, right now, but is it really a selfish thought, when I'm going through that moment wishing HE could call in and say he has to take care of the Love of his life because she's very badly sick, and just a little while ago, she nursed me back to health, and now it is only fair that I return her the act of love that she showed forth to me.

..... Keep Dreaming Lady!!! Reality Bites sometimes. And this weekend is one of those moments, because I really hate seeing my family sick. (But I'm not sure what I hate more, seeing them sick or having to deal with them and all the complaining and whining and so on) Chocolate anyone? Ice Cream?

So far I'm lucky, and don't have any symptoms and hopefully I'll get through this unscathed. Although I'm afraid the girls aren't going to fare so lucky. Kaylee already is running a fever and she's been on antibiotics since Thursday morning. So I'm thinking she's coming down with a visit from some pigs pretty soon.

If I only.....

Yes, so I hate those days, when just the slightest thing goes wrong and it just ricochets through the entire day. Case in point, yesterday was Sunday which meant we needed to get ready for church. I usually try to get the kids bathed Saturday night, but it doesn't always happen. So in my lousy attempt at trying to get baths to all of the kids, my husband started getting a little "upset". And by the time he was able to get his shower and get dressed, he was going to be late for the first meeting. "Oops" He refuses to go when it gets like that. So then out came the daggers, towards me. "I love you"?

I tried to avoid getting upset as well, but one little comment after another, I just couldn't take it any longer. So I being the totally imperfect human that I am, started lashing back, but not quite so severe, (at least not out loud). Finally I was showered and we were a half hour late for the first meeting which lasts an hour. Better late than never, is usually my motto, but never seems to be his -- as far as church goes. Granted not every week is like this, but yesterday it was. So I ended up at church the whole time solo with the kids. We came home, and the comments started in again, OUCH!

Too much for my emotional self to take, and I broke down into tears and bawled for a long time, but I couldn't seem to make up my mind where in the heck I wanted to have my CRY!! I started in the bedroom laying face down into the bed, and cried a lot, who wouldn't? I felt hurt and betrayed (well not really betrayed, but it sounds good), and couldn't understand howcome the other (him) couldn't be compassionate with me right now. I've just gone through a month long duration of one disaster after another, and on top of that I was fighting a two year old for my half of the bed at night. I was sleep deprived, and often tried not to wake my husband so he wouldn't be tired the next day. BUT NOOOO!! He doesn't quite understand my point of view.

But back to when I came home, he was standing over the sink and was working on the dishes. Yeah, the dishes!! Those ones that didn't get done the night Kaylee broke her arm and the ones that piled up since then for a little over a week. Sure, I washed loads of dishes through the week as I needed them, but never seemed to have either enough motivation to wash ALL of those darn things, or I never had enough time, and sometimes it was both. But, the hot head temper coming from party number 2 seemed to dissipate after the NASTY things were finished.

Gosh, I don't know why he waits for them to get that bad, before he's bothered by it. (Major sarcasm).

Being the mom of 5 busy bodied kids, really keeps me dizzy, tired, and often unorganized. I try my best at trying to mother my children, while trying to be a good wife, and housekeeper. All of which, I seem to be doing terrible in lately. I have figured out a few things in the last few years that really makes me know why it's tough.

If I only had to cook the food, and take care of the dishes -- it WOULD be a piece of CAKE.
If I only had to gather the laundry and wash, dry, fold and put it away -- it WOULD be PIECE of Cake.
If I only had to make sure the living room was spotless -- you got it.. it would be EASY!!
If I only had to tend to my children -- you got it --- I would go NUTS, but it would be mostly doable.
And if I didn't have any of the kids around, and didn't have to pick up after them, or enforce them to do thier chores, or teach them responsibility, I wouldn't have a MESS ANYWHERE. But at the same time, I wouldn't be a mother either. I wouldn't feel the love from my kids, when I play with them. Or feel love from them when they make me a new picture. Or experience the pain when they get hurt, just to feel excitement, when they are healed. I wouldn't get the giggles while we were saying family prayers, because of the way someone was acting. I wouldn't get to see half of the movies we watch, because most of them are because of the kids.

So to any mom, who feels so overwhelmed like I do, MOST OF THE TIME, just remember the choice you made, and why you made it. I love my kids, although, ME time is always a good thing, and I think lately I haven't been able to get ANY of that. And granted most DH's don't understand all that goes on with being the MOM, but if they had to "BE THE MOM" I'm almost positive it wouldn't last very long.

And to end my bitterness towards my own DH, I had the lesson tonight on Forgiveness and how when someone does or says something that hurts us, we just need to "Let it Go". (which is in the June 2009 issue - I would have linked it, but it isn't available yet)
